14 Passenger Vans

14 Passenger VansThe Ford Transit: King of Vans

In the world of light commercial vehicles there is a model that has proved so popular that it has entered the lexicon as a description of himself. The Ford Transit was part of British way of life for over 40 years now, so it is a testament to Ford's technical and engineering skills are still developing, refining and making it interesting, even now. Vans will never overwhelmingly exciting or provide unforgettable driving experience, but there is something about driving a truck that is so traditional and ... well ... undeniably British. The white van men virtually clog the roads from 9 pm Monday at 6:00 on Friday in this country, it is therefore logical that they have a decent vehicle to operate in. The Ford Transit is the vehicle.

There are many alternatives on the market, but none seems to have permeated the British imagination as effective as mass transit. Movano Vauxhall Vivaro and vehicles are perfectly usable, like Peugeot Boxer, but nobody can seem to fight the mantle from Ford. What is exactly what the public has begun love affair with sustainable transit?

Even his way of initial creation of the British in 1965, the Transit caught the imagination of the independent businessman / manual worker. The larger American wheelbase provided more carrying capacity than one of his closest rivals. The reliability of the Essex V4 petrol engine and provided good performance. The reputation was cemented and the transit is finally here!

These days, public transit is still recognized for its unmatched reliability and ease of use. The short wheelbase Transit provides the maneuverability around towns and cities is not only easy, but dangerously close to fun. The medium wheelbase provide that extra length (and increasing the height option) for those who need this capability bit more. The long wheelbase is an intensive use without compromising handling and performance.

The driving experience of the Transit is further enhanced by the spacious interiors and ergonomics that are equipped with high specification technology to be seated in the cab of transit a very pleasant experience rather than a chore. The dashboard-mounted gearshift lever also ensures you can adjust the maximum passenger in.

So, being the market leader for 40 years, you can expect Ford to build on their reputation by jacking up prices, but this is not the case at all. With prices starting from £ 14,786 (exc VAT) Ford have made their quality product at affordable prices for new self-started businesses or large companies to dramatically increase their fleets at a reasonable cost.

The Ford Transit combines high quality, impressive storage capacity, reliability and all at a remarkably affordable price. It's really not difficult to understand how the transit has maintained its reputation on such a long period of time. What is difficult to understand is how one of Ford's competitors are going up, public transit while maintaining an affordable price-tag. In my opinion, considered the Ford Transit is going to retain its stranglehold on the market for light commercial vehicles for years to come.
