Acura Tsx to release new sports sedan in New York Acura plans to unleash a new version of the TSX sports sedan at the 2008 New York International Auto Show in March.
The luxury brand of Honda Motor Co. will give fans the first look at the exterior of the TSX's second-generation should be put on sale this spring. For now, covers lights are strung, the envelopes are huddled. The 2009 TSX is greatness for fans to hope.
Acura said the new version of the sports sedan will improve performance, style, technology and security features. "The new 2009 TSX speaks clearly to the direction we are taking our Acura sedans in the future," said Dick Colliver, vice president Acura for sale. "The TSX is an important step in advancing our range of sedans and continuous improvement of the Acura brand."
Acura has not disclosed the price or details of new features. The current model starts at $ 28,190, the manufacturer said.
Acura, the luxury brand of Honda Motor Co., hopes that the new TSX sales slump can wipe away. The brand sold 33,037 TSX models in the U.S. last year, and the number is down 13.1 percent compared to 2006. In addition, the brand's sales plunged 10.5 percent the previous year.
The new sports sedan, which appears slimmer than its predecessor, will be launched during Media Days preview March 19 and 20. The auto show opens to the public for a preview March 21 and runs until March 30.
Acura is currently absorbed by the launch of new models and redesigned to improve its programming. It may be recalled that the manufacturer has submitted the 2009 RL at the show this year's Chicago Auto Show. In addition, the manufacturer will also give rise to a new TL sedan later this year.
Before the New York auto show, brother of the Sport Sedan, Honda Accord for Europe, will be presented at the Geneva Auto Salon 2008 in early March. The Japanese carmaker's second largest so far is that the introduction of single aspects of the Accord sedan and redesigned the Accord Tourer wagon for Europe, based on the concept shown at the Salon of last year's Frankfurt motor. The redesigned Accord sedan and Accord Tourer wagon will go on sale this summer.
Watchers in the industry that the new TSX to be equipped with the gasoline engine, four-cylinder turbocharged currently presented in the RDX. Also available under the hood of the sedan is Honda brand new turbocharged 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel producing around 150 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. The 2009 TSX is expected to become the first car Honda with a diesel engine in America.
