4x4 Motorhome

4x4 MotorhomeA guide to buying a camper

It is easy to decide you want a camper, in fact, owning one is a growing trend, however, it may be difficult to decide which is right for you, especially for someone who knows nothing nothing on the subject. In this spirit, what follows are some tips to help you understand and find the motorhome for you.

- What is the size vehicle is most appropriate for you? You can base this decision on the number of people will spend the night in the motorhome. The smallest campers sleep two, and larger models can accommodate up to ten. For couples who want a camper for weekend vacations in the country, "a two-berth" camper may be better, while many beds are needed for families or other large groups goes long trips. Remember that even if half a dozen people will sleep in your motorhome large bunks, six large adults may not be particularly comfortable.

- Want a fully equipped camper? As you examine this question, note the features that are most important for people who spend time in the vehicle, and then prioritize the items. Keep in mind that the more options appear on the vehicle, the more expensive it will be. You must decide if you need one, two or three double beds. Will you be your own TV, you can set up on a table, or do you prefer a flat screen TV built into the vehicle? And you will be satisfied with a standard refrigerator or do you need a freezer as well?

- Will you travel on rough roads or highways and other stick to paved roads? Do not buy a motorhome before considering carefully the type of terrain you will cover your trip. If the destination you have in mind implies that the roads are muddy and rocky, a 4x4 model camper or one that is specially made to handle off-road travel is most appropriate for you. But if you plan to travel long distance driving that are not likely to stray from the paved road, the camper standard will be the best choice.

- How many miles will the camper, you yield per gallon of gasoline? gas costs are a very important element to consider, such as size and weight of the camper and its contents will strongly determine the number of miles you can use for the gas you buy. For the most part, you get two berths 35 mpg, and as they grow larger, mileage decreases until you get the RV 10mpg carrying many people and all equipment. If you get a campervan LPG conversion, you only pay about half as much gas as normal.
