American Caravans

American CaravansAn RV or a trailer What is the best choice?

If you're in the market to take home with you in your vacation, you basically have a choice of three, the tent (or camper), a trailer or a recreational vehicle or RV. All have their advantages, but what is the best choice?

Tent

Among the three choices, the tent is probably the least expensive, and the change tent trailer can be comfortable enough, especially since most homes are on the ground in the body of the trailer. But it is still a tent and the luxury of such offers limited protection against the elements may not match that of a caravan or motorhome.

The advantages of the tent are price, ease of towing not to mention, it is easy to store when you're not on vacation!

Carniva le

Caravans come in all shapes and sizes nowadays and there is one for the smallest car, and most importantly, some of which are true paradises double axles on wheels with all the comfort you can imagine. Even the smallest is more difficult to tow the camper, and if some people do not want to draw in the first place (which of course means that we must go for a basic tent or RV).

The advantages of the caravan on the tent are obvious in that they offer a better class of accommodation, are more durable and are usually much bigger, much better choice for a family.

Recreational vehicles (RVs)

The RV has been with us for many years, perhaps the one that sticks in mind (at least for those over 50) is the VW camper is used by many hippies and Australians as it travels to worldwide. Today, however, the RV is very different and in most cases much greater, and not a luxury designed by RV users first.

The top of the tree is occupied RV (you guessed it) by the American Home automobiles, vehicles of size and luxury need an HGV license before driving, some even having a garage the back with a Smart car travel for shopping, etc.

When it comes to luxury, even high end of the caravan may not correspond to the largest RV, with its sliding walls (which extend the living area on each side of the body) higher ceilings and well, it Just pure luxury. Of course, there are small recreational vehicles, some smaller than the VW Camper Van old, one for every taste.

When it comes to disadvantages, however, VR has a number, not the least cost even the smallest being a major purchase, while the largest can cost £ 250,000 is an investment! Besides the initial cost, there are operating costs and fuel consumption in the 20 low mpg (even less with the big ones) and the fact that you need road tax and MOT every year (and who can be costly for heavy variants) is a poor bet for anyone on a budget.

But then, the American Motor Home has never been something for the man in the street, they are for people with high disposable income or those who sell and decide to live in a place of owning a home. They offer true luxury and for those who want to live the high life on the road, the VR is really the only choice.
