Avion Trailers

Avion TrailersChoose your RV

Choose your RV.

The best advice I can give someone who wants full-time RVing is to attend a performance of great RV. These are usually held in the winter season in many cities. Rosemont, Illinois and Tampa, Florida are just two that come to mind. Get an RV magazine, as "Camp Life" or "Trailer Life" and find one near you. You will also see ads to close sales at various dealerships in your area. Remember that there are hundreds of different types of recreational vehicles there. A dealer can only have so many. This is why a show is so good. There are many dealers and manufacturers. When we bought our 2002 Platinum Avion 33 'fifth wheel we went to the exhibition in Rosemont, Illinois (near O'Hare Field). We knew what we wanted in an RV, two chairs and a bedroom, which was higher than 6'2 "because that is my size. Those were our requirements. We also needed a lot of storage space, because we are both pack rats. One of the caravans we first entered this plane Fleetwood. I've never heard of but knew the reputation of Fleetwood to construct the trailer. j ' had been in the trucking industry for twenty years and Fleetwood because of our fleet. Since then, we went through a learning curve. We're still in love with the airplane. others hate them, because many problems that 'they had with them.

We spent the rest of the day looking at and sitting in an RV. Some were inclined roofs and lost a lot of interior space. Some had short ceilings of the room, where I had to look more to go to bed: unacceptable. Some had the space between the cabinets and the ceiling: a waste in my opinion. We must have looked more trailers fifth wheel fifty. We settled on the plane and got a good price because of the RV Show. We even got a better, if we were expelled from the crowd. We were not ready to start traveling for four months. Today, many manufacturers have adopted a flat roof and a ceiling height in the room. There are more options out there. Another thing is the price and budget. What can you afford? Even some fifth wheels can cost up to six figures: not in our range.

This is our history. What do you think? Each person has different tastes and needs. By choosing an RV for you, you have to answer these questions. What I want to fix a meal while driving on the highway? Where do I want to explore? I want a resort with all amenities: pool, clubhouse, activities, etc.? I want to find a secluded beach or a mountain lake? Oh, how about the above?

Let us look at the different options when buying an RV. There are advantages and disadvantages for each one you are considering.

First, the camper: Class A. Camping is a standalone unit, resembling a bus. They come in all sizes and all the comforts of home. Their cost will be less than $ 100,000 to $ 1,000,000 +. There are some stations that accept only campers upscale as residents. Motorhomes have all the comforts: captain seats, lots of storage space inside and outside and the comfort that you can fix a meal while driving on the highway (not the driver but the passenger). There is a story about someone driving in a lonely road straight out of the West and wanted to fix lunch. He put the motor in speed control and I went back to fix lunch. Miles Ahead is a ride on the road. He was still fixing lunch and left the road. Another advantage for a camper safety. I worst case scenario where there are pirates who want to attack you, all you have to do is enter the driver's seat and move away, leaving them empty handed. This does not happen too often.

The disadvantages of a motor home is that you need a tow vehicle. I saw them as small as a scout and as a great help.
