American Performance Cars Generally, a muscle car is a coupe version of some of the greatest cars that have been ubiquitous on the roads of the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. The Mustang and Camaro, however, have been designed separately [although both parties heavily borrowed from other models] and the "pony" cars were a category all to themselves. For comparison, they joined the Dodge Challenger, a performance version of Mopar cars of its time. All three have been compared by critics of the time and all three are new compared to some years when production was tilted up.

<b> Ford Mustang </ b> - Step back in time with me in April 1964 at a time when America was deeply involved in the space race, Lyndon Johnson was president, and General Motors AutoDome decided. Ford, for its part, had been tailgating GM for years, but not the Edsel of the late 1950s had cost the company dear. However, it was time for the Universal Exhibition in New York and Ford used the right technology and television to promote its new offering, the Mustang. A 2 2 pieces cut borrowing the Fairlane and Falcon, the 1964 ½ model was the first sold and is widely recognized as the best introduction of a new vehicle over. With a standard V6 engine and optional V8, the Mustang brand new beat soon record sales and has been a hot seller since. Indeed, with the introduction of the "retro" look in 2005 Mustang, the car has again led to an interest in the segment of muscle cars as models, DaimlerChrysler and General Motors' competitors in their own boats.
<b> Dodge Challenger </ b> - After the success of earlier muscle cars including the Dodge Charger and Plymouth Cuda, the Dodge Challenger was launched in 1970 as a model. The car is heavily inspired by the 'Cuda that the sheet was somewhat different and the wheelbase has been stretched by a couple of inches. Because the muscle car era was in decline at the time of its introduction, the Challenger lasted only five model years before it was canceled. The Challenger concept currently on display at auto shows many based on the design in 1970 and is the tale of forums and blogs across the country. Search engines Hemi-powered as favored by many owners, the car is likely to share the technology with the current car Magnum and Charger sedan.
