Green Laser

Green LaserGreen laser pointer - which should I choose?

Just typing the word laser pointer "in the Google search engine, you will find hundreds of companies laser pointer there. Some have websites with very attractive prices very high. Some laser pointers provide the same functions and power, but are much cheaper. It's very confusing especially when you do not understand what all the terms of the mean. You're about to spend a good amount of money on a laser pointer, you should at least is to do some research before choosing the right laser and good company for your needs.

The first thing you notice about the high power green laser pointers is that they are still classified by the government. The number of "W." at the end. mW mean milli-watts and one thousandth of a watt, that is to 1000mW is 1W. You can also see another number associated with green laser pointers. This number has "nm" to the end. This means nano-meters and is used to measure wavelength. You do not really consider this as all too many green laser pointers have a wavelength of 532nm. Roughly, when you see 532nm, you should automatically think of the color green.

Now, lets focus on power. This is probably the single most important because the more power you buy, the more money you spend. Yes, power is expensive! You must ask yourself, what do you buy this laser pointer? I think I do classes in three types of lasers.

The first type, you want to buy something for everyday use. You are a teacher, teacher, or someone is always to make presentations in large groups. Looking to use green laser pointer as a "pointer". Well, I can make the decision for you now. Get a 5mW green laser pointer. While you could buy something more powerful, I would not say anything more 20mW if the score is what you do. 5mW is small class score of 20 MW is a long distance to score as in an auditorium. Now, I mean actual laser pointers, which is, do not buy on ebay or auction sites. Their production is usually announced false. If you buy a 5mW, you'll probably end up with a 1-2 mW green laser. You can search the term "Skylasers" into Google, they are a good reputable company.

Now, the second type is looking for a visible beam laser pointer green. First question, you want to burn or melt anything with it? If your answer is no, stick with a 20mW green laser pointer from 80mW to. During the day, these lasers have a very late Bright Dot (the laser beam is not visible). Know that you will not find a laser pointer with a visible beam during the day. At night, however, a 20-80mW green laser is very bright! Yes, amazingly bright! Here I ask, how do you spend? The more power you buy, the best laser pointer. On a personal note, I would recommend 40-60 mW green laser pointer if all you want is a light beam. The 20mW is still a bit dark for me. 40mW to 60mW green laser pointers go for about $ 100 - $ 150. If you have money, go for the 80mW, you will notice the difference in brightness. I just think that 40mW - 60 mW is abundantly clear.

If you want to burn and melt with the laser, you need something above 100mW. Want to see laser pointers in action? Simple, go to YouTube and search for "laser". You can find green laser pointers from various companies having a cigarette, popping balloons, etc. There are some very cool videos there. The question now is, what do you want to burn? Again, the more power you have, the more your laser will burn and melt. You can buy green laser pointer 500mW more these days that could cost you a tidy sum. It's really up to you how much you want to spend. If burning is your thing, look around for reputable companies and compare prices. Buy something you're comfortable with spending.
