Do I need a special license to drive a motorhome?

How do you calculate rental days?

This varies by provider, but in general, the standard rates include car insurance, GST, unlimited mileage roadside assistance 24 hours, certain living / kitchen / sleeping equipment and travel bags with maps. inclusion rates are also available.

What is not included in the price?
Again this varies depending on the supplier, but generally a more cost and insurance are extra. Because of its remoteness, there is often a fee for collecting or depositing Broome. There are also additional options available such as reduction of excess, picnic tables and chairs, GPS units, satellite phones and first aid kits. Prices and options vary by provider.

What are the rates Flex?
Flex rates are based on a simple system of supply and demand. If there are many vehicles available for hire at a given date at a particular location, the rate is lower and vice versa. Early booking is recommended to get a good deal.

Will I need a credit card to withdraw my motorhome?
Credit cards are commonly used for the deposit, but some rental companies (like Hertz Rent Cars and Kea) accept cash deposits. Check when booking.

What is the deposit?
The amount depends on the coverage chosen, but ranges from AUD250-7500. When a deposit is required the full amount of the deposit will be deducted from your credit card and credited at the end of the lease period, subject to deductions. To avoid disappointment ensure that your credit card has a limit sufficient to cover this amount.

Where do I get my camper?
Holidays ferry have motorhomes available to search in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. (Please note not all suppliers can be represented in these cities).

Where can I camp with my camper?
You can stay in holiday parks or campsites for a low cost. These often the kitchen and bathroom and sometimes play areas, playgrounds and access to power. Each state has different rules about where this is permitted.
