Why should you add a network printer to your computer network at home?

Forget the invention of television coulor, home computers are by far the most popular invention of the century. Infact computers may be substituted as a TV, DVD player, stereo, a friend, and more. This is why most households now have on average more than one computer and possibly need to know how to add a network printer.

Adding a network printer to your computer network at home has many advantages as well. The main advantage of a network printer is that it saves space. We all know how our houses become crowded with every new gadget that comes out. After adding a network printer to your network means you only need a printer to serve all your computers in your home or office. It is not necessary for each computer to have its own printer! How great is that.

Just the simple words "add a network printer" sounds a bit confusing for the average user. But let me tell you that installing a network printer you are extrememly easy.

To add a network printer that we need:

  • You'll need two or more computers on your home network or office, if there is no point sharing printers

  • You'll need a printer installed on one of your computers on your home network. It could just be a cheap one printer or even a printer flash is a standalone printer on the network.

  • You must know the name of the computer that the printer is installed. Here's How to find your computer name . Sometimes Windows will find the network printer for you, but if you do not need to know these parameters.

  • Printer sharing must be enabled on the computer that has the network printer physically installed. (Go to Control Panel> Settings> Printers click the icon to the right on the printer icon and select Sharing. Also create simple name for your printer here.) Here's how to enable printer sharing

  • You must know the name of your shared printer. It is usually the mark of the printer that could be cannon bj3000, but I want to simply rename the printer.

  • After installing a network printer, you never look back. Not only do you need a printer per household, but also to simply restore the ink and maintain this network printer. What a bonus!
