How much does a bed in a small caravan of trucks typically affect fuel economy? I have a 1987 pickup that gets about 18mpg Scottsdale on the road. Would my gas mileage to take a huge success with a small caravan of trucks to bed? Or is very little difference?
I'm deciding between a truck and trailer "Class B" for motorhome travel solo basis. It would be used on many long trips, so fuel economy is probably the No. 1 factor.
Thank you!
Your pickup will lose fuel economy because of the weight and wind resistance of a slide in camper, but when you do not use it, you can delete it and return to the recovery of 18 mpg . On the other hand, a class B camper van mini will always get lower mileage
My father has lost 2 mpg.
