Small Modern House

I live in a small house in a semi-double. These types of houses are very common in my area. I think it was built around 1930-1940. It is covered with hideous panels through. I tried to take by the paneling, but the walls behind are virtually nonexistent.

Its currently full of second hand furniture not so fab my family.

How do I make art for a low (relatively cheap) price?
How can I make him feel more spacious?

repaint

paint over creams and tans and whites and neutrals. try to use these colors in the furniture too go too auctions and second-hand stores and garage sales to find things more modern and sell antiques.
