Tioga Rv

Tioga RvYosemite RV parking issue?

I rented a recreational vehicle 35 feet in June and the conduct of Yosemite. I guess we'll have to drive different observing sites outside of the campground and I am anxious to know where this big car park. Can anyone give me some advice? Very appreciated.

If you are parking and camping in the RV I highly recommend that you leave it at the campsite and take the free shuttle across valley. I went there for a day on Saturday 5/8/10 and even now it is quite crowded. After entering the valley and stop at Bridalveil Falls, Inspiration Point, we parked our car in the park day-use and spent the rest of the day going from site to site with the next shuttle.

You can get anywhere a car can get to the shuttle and there is one every 10 minutes. The only places you can go is the entrance of the valley (and Bridalveil Falls, Inspiration Point) and the base of El Capitan, but starting in June there are shuttles to places too. You can stop at these spots on your way in.
You may need to drive outside of the valley from Glacier Point, Mariposa Grove and the high country where the Tioga Pass road is open by then, but you can even get a bus to these places if you do not want messing with driving.
Taking the shuttle was a great way to see the valley, without having to fight against the traffic and finding parking. You can usually find parking a large RV to most places, but it may be a long wait during peak summer periods.

All stunts are now fully in force. There are waterfalls almost everywhere you look. We had a very wet winter and they should be spectacular when you get there in June Have fun and take lots of pictures. You can hardly believe your eyes when you're there.
