We are looking to buy a travel trailer. ground came a good thing or not? We were told that registers in the soil can cause weakness due to the fact that manufacturers have to frame around the pipe registers. We found some models that do not have floor registers. What is the best? We are looking to travel with the trailer across the United States and Canada and are looking for quality
I've never heard of floor registers causing soft spots, and have been camping all my life, my parents had both those in the ground and then those who are under the sofa (the tube) both are effective. I'll tell you what will make the soil soft and the walls of this issue. Floors if you ever spill in the bathroom after "pump water to help clean the tank, make sure to clean it, infiltrate and cause soft spots. Also, if you decided to make a canopy, make sure you drain away from the tralier. Meaning off the arm of the trailer and the floor bolts if you decided to stay at a particular place for a long time. If you lwave arms attatched to the trailer and it rains the water has nowhere to go but slowly seep into the trailer, causing low walls and, possibly, weak or soft in the floor. Have fun wherever you go.
PS I'm jealous;)
I suggest you contact the different manufacturers and ask how their trailers are built. The method of channeling can not be the same with all manufacturers. In addition, asking people how they are different trailers satisfied with what they have, and if they have problems.
As far as comfort, floor registers are probably the best, as the heat rises. No worse than cold feet.
