There are two types of retractable awnings: those operated by hand (manual) and those with an engine (automatic). Both blinds are assembled by hand and are considered permanent installations. The manual awning is open (extended) and closed (retracted) through the use of a hand wheel, which moves the gear. The function automatically opens and closes with an engine that drives the gears.

Many campers have retractable awnings to add a living space for them. They are attached to one side, usually the right side that has the front door. They can be either open or closed. The guys closed plastic or cloth on the forehead and / or sides, providing both privacy and protection when in use. Several times, power lines will be installed to enable the region to use at night.
