I want to buy a car (SUV) that can tow at least 3,500 pounds. Camper trailmanor (). Should I buy new or used? Or, do you think it is better to just buy a motorhome driving small sleeping at most 6.
You have tons of choices that can accomplish pulling a trailer of at least 3,500 pounds. All your average size SUV with at least one V-6 will take at least that. Some V-6 will pull over 6,000 pounds. If you're willing to stick to a mid size SUV but do not want to be able to barely squeak by then you still have a few choices. The Dodge Durango equipped with a V-8 Ford Explorer with a V-8, Chevrolet / GMC TrailBlazer / Envoy with a V-8 is your best choice and everyone you can find under $ 20k. Depending on the type of campground you visit, you can opt for a 4x4. The New Pathfinder can tow more than 5k lbs and the Toyota 4 Runner with a V-8, but you're on the beach of $ 20k. Visit our page for some suggestions and you can email me too. www.dedodge.com email me if you want on our site. My name is Aaron. Hope this helps. Good Luck. Adub ..... PS ... All vehicles that I speak are used 1-3 years. If cost is not yet consider these questions then you will most likely but the $ 30k range, unless you get a left onto 06 with a considerable discount.
you probably want / need a truck, if you have had the caravan merchant web pages to check, like Chevrolet Ford, Toyota, etc., they show capicities tow truck / SUV. You will probably want to size, because if they say a car can shoot up to £ 3,500 he fought with him.
Buy what you can afford, but if you buy used, an engineer to assess the vehicle to ensure that the running gear (engine, transmission, gearbox) is in good form and is capable of towing your trailer . Make sure you have enough towing capacity for all the extras that go into the trailer, maybe look for something with a minimum capacity 5,000 lbs.
Either is fine, but make sure the trans and gearbox are the challenge. Search capacities in the service manual and have everything checked by a mechanic.
I want to add a transmission cooler for additional platforms my truck SUV / as added protection. They range from a few hundreds and are easy to install.
Good luck!
Well, if the trailer is a tag-along (pull behind trailer) and you want an SUV, the Ford Excursion is the best way forward. Personally, I would go with a truck, because if you want a larger motorhome, you can get a fifth wheel in the truck configuration, unlike the SUV.
Personally, I would get a 1 Ton, diesel truck. It can handle what you throw at it ...
