Vermont CampingGrout Pond Camping Vermont?

Hello, I read about this place Grout Pond in Vermont, and it looks like a great place to camp. Has anyone ever been? If my friends and I would try to walk there on Friday morning, what time should we leave?

I used to live in Manchester, VT and went to the pond Grout many times. The best sites are further back along the side of the pond farthest from the parking area, but it is not bad at all campsites. Of course, I have not been there in two years or, if I am a little dated with my info.

I do not know what you mean by "walk on" either. Sites are first come, first served. For more info on this specific point, you can start camping or when you must leave the contact USFS Ranger Station in Manchester Center.

It is beautiful but I prefer Ricker Pond, right on the street. If you try all around the new year you can usually book one of the sites leanto waterfront for next summer. Best camp I've probably ever done.

But what the hell is your "walk there" issue?
