Automotive research and valuation firm Kelley Blue Book has compiled a list of the best cars to buy in 2018. The selection was based on important factors like stylishness, safety, driving technology, and tag price. Reviews by actual drivers and motoring experts were also factored in.

1. Honda Civic

Are you looking for a small car? The Honda Civic is on top of this list if you want a sedan or a coupe. To have an idea about its efficiency, its 1.5-liter four-cylinder base engine has an EPA of 32 miles per gallon (mpg) and 42 mpg in city and highway driving, respectively.

2. Honda Accord

Kelley Blue Book’s overall best buy award goes to the redesigned Honda Accord. The 2018 model’s latest facelift comes with a lower and longer silhouette, striking with greater flair compared to the past models. Turbocharged four-cylinder engines also replace the V-6, giving the car its most efficient EPA of 30 mpg and 38 mpg in city and highway driving, respectively.

3. Chevrolet Impala

For a full-size car, Chevrolet Impala boasts of a roomier trunk compared to most of the cars in the same segment today. Moreover, it is equipped with the latest technology like GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Wi-Fi (in-car). You can choose between two types of engines: the four-cylinder has an EPA of 22 mpg and 30 mpg for city and highway driving, respectively, while the V-6 rated has an EPA of 19 mpg and 28 mpg.

4. Honda CR-V

This small SUV strikes with its appealing affordability, safety, and dependability. It comes with variants that offer more advanced safety specs like the automatic braking system, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision avoidance, among others. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine has an EPA rating of 28 mpg and 34 mpg in city and highway driving, respectively, while the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine has 25 mpg and 31 mpg.

5. Ford Expedition

The redesigned Ford Expedition in 2018 impresses with its stronger towing and hauling capability. The full-size SUV even comes with an ideal fuel economy that is inherent to that of a typical smaller auto. Its 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V-6 engine gets an EPA rating of 17 mpg and 24 mpg in city and highway driving, respectively.

The best-selling luxury SUV from Audi is described as more luxurious, more powerful, and larger compared to its predecessor. Kelley Blue Book analysts agree that the redesigned car for 2018 has a more refined driving function, has a friendlier cabin, and has a more elegant overall design. Its 2-liter four-cylinder engine has an EPA rating of 23 mpg and 27 mpg in city and highway driving, respectively.

7. Ford-150

Looking for the most recommended pickup truck? The list recommends the F-150, which is outstanding for its powerful towing and hauling capability. To further smoothen up the driving experience, it is equipped with the most advanced and effective features—including its aluminum body that gives way to lighter weight and logically more efficient fuel economy. Its popular V-6 engine has an EPA rating of 20 mpg and 26 mpg in city and highway driving, respectively.
